Broccoli with potatoes and cheese


This is an easy side dish that can be great with roasted chicken! They are really yummy! πŸ™‚

Ingredients (Serves 4)

1 whole broccoli, chopped, strong stem discarded

2 lage potatoes, peeled and sliced thinly as if preparing them for a stew

100 g grated cheese like Emmental




200ml cream

1, Place the vegetables in a steamer bowl. Put about an inch of water in a pot and bring to a boil. Place the steamer bowl on top and steam the veggies for about 7 to 8 minutes.

2. Mix a dash of salt, pepper and nutmeg into the cream. Taste for flavour.

2. Place the vegetables in a casserole dish and pour the cream over them. Mix them gently so that the cream is well incorporated. Sprinkle the cheese on top and bake until cheese is melted and slightly browned.
